I'd need your help with this anamorph. I found it on old leaves of an unknown little plant and it has very striking, brown, 3-septate conidia (up to 17 x 3 µm) with long appendages (up to 10 µm). I think I have seen this species some time ago but I can't remember a name.

to me it resembles the anamorph of Heterosphaeria patella (Heteropatella-state).

Hi Gernot,
I have once found it myself on Angelica sylvestris, but I have no photo. I remember, that the conidia were app. 30 µm including the appendages. I looked it up in Ellis & Ellis, picture 1350. There is also a description in Rehm, the Rabenhorst Flora, p. 199, which you know you can find in cyberliber http://www.cybertruffle.org.uk/cyberliber/index.htm. The original pictures of Tulasne are on Gallica, http://gallica.bnf.fr/, Tulasne, Selecta Fungorum Carpologia Table XVIII, but they are badly scanned. Send me a mail if you want a scan of something :-)

@Hermine: unfortunately both in Ellis & Ellis and in Rehm the appendages are too short. Did your find fit with my collection? Maybe the length of the appendages is quite variable. Other than that, I found my fungus on old leaves and not on an Umbelliferae.

as I realised today - very nice coincidence - Discosia artocreas was found in the Botanical Garden in Frankfurt in July on dead leaves of Fagus sylvatica. I can send you something to compare, if you want.
