Searching for Physalospora alpestris on Carex spp.
Amy Rossman, 12-05-2011 17:32
Dear kind microfungi folks,

We are working on the genus Physalospora and would like to obtain some relatively fresh material of the type species, P. alpestris. This species occurs on Carex spp. In the only specimen we have here, the black, flat fruiting bodies develop on leaves at the base of the plant.

If you find this fungus and are willing to share, please send it to me in Beltsville, MD. Thank you!

Amy Rossman

P.S. I was sorry to miss the last foray but I trust you had fun!
