Re:Propolis
Hi
To my knowledge, Propolis (with ellipsoid spores) is really rhytismatal. There was some confusion about naming the genus. Sherwood (1977) renamed it to Propolomyces and retained in Propolis species with long, filiform spores. Later the name Propolis was reintroduced for the ellipsoid-spored species (see paper by Minter in Mycotaxon 87: 43-52, 2003). I am actually unaware in what genus these filiform-spored species are filed today.
