François Bartholomeeusen, 03-05-2015 14:15
Dear all,

After two months moistening a small container with potting soil an unknown goblet-shaped mushroom appeared. Is this known to someone?

macroscopy:

substrate: potting soil, started to moisten end Febuary and two months later appears one fruiting body

FRB: first goblet-shaped (urceolate) diameter 9 mm, height 8 mm (stalk 4 mm),
three days later: diameter 17 mm height 11 mm; completely flat and umbilicate with lobed edge that curls down, exterior covered with dark brown pigmented warts,
after four days the disc-shaped apothecium shrinks and the edge colours dark orange/brown like the warts.

microscopy (all dimensions in water): of fresh material in water.

ASCI: operculaat, 8-spore uniseriate, cylindrical, with croziers, average: 287,81 x 14,54 µm, amyloid; apicaltop bluish,

Spore:, hyaline, ellipsoid 13.87-18,34 x 8,34-11.82 µm, Q = 1.38

Paraphyse: 255 x 5,68 µm, cylindrical, septated, sometimes constricted and occasionally branched, arising from enlarged cells

texture: globulosa angularis

Findingplace and date: 20 april 2015 Belgium, Turnhout, Belgium

Does someone has an idea?

Greetings,

François Bartholomeeusen

Re : exotic or not?
Salut François.

As pu observer les spores en dehors des asques dans le bleu coton ? Peut être Peziza fimeti ?

Michel.

Re : exotic or not?
Bonjour Michel,

Meilleures salutations

François
