Hi, Stephen -

for me it rather looks like a Cheilymenia. The margin of the apothecia seems to be slightly hairy.

given its size, I think Byssonectria might be another possibility. Anyway, a microphoto would help a lot here.

Hi, thanks for replying. I checked the specimen under the stereo and I could not see and hint of hair at the margin. Those seen in the prev photos are some kind of dead moss.

I am checking my database where I had a similar collection and was pinned as Boubovia nicholsonii - looks similar ?! Anthracobia nitida is another option but this has a more distinct grey margin.

Cheilymenia-hairs are sometimes very inconspicuous. Only the microscope will help you, I'm afraid ...
