Bernard DeclercqDear all,

Collected on 5 cm diam. corticated branch of Fagus sylvatica:
Stromata superficial, fleshy, subcylindrical to turbinate-discoid, apex flattened convex, 1.5-2 mm high, 1.2-3.5 mm diam., sometimes confluent, black except the pale ochraceous apex. Endostroma blackish except an ochraceus upper marginal zone. No ascomata nor conidiomata observed.
Any idea about this immature collection?

place the branch in a moist chamber. It could be a Hypocrealean...
