Hi Marja,
check on Zotto's DVD Hyalorbilia berberidis. But he will himself give a more profound answer ;-)
Cheers,
Martin

Re:White on polypore
That sounds pretty good! And very well described, I can only confirm Martin's determination.
In this case i would like to ask you for the collection data (date, site, substrate), because I would like to cite this record in the monograph. Was the polypore close to the ground? on a lying trunk?
The species is known from several European countries including Finland (from the East, Lieksa, Koli, by Kadri Poldmaa). Often on polypores!

Re:White on polypore
Hello,
this was on a trunk of propably salix on the ground (I can check it tomorrow, when I go there ). The polypore was propably Phellinus punctatus (I know polypores poorly) and the site is Outokumpu (town) Rikkaranta (village), Pennala (farm) 62 46 (lat) 28 45 (lon). (Lieksa belongs to North Carelian, so I live East...)
I actually picked it 27.6 and kept it in refrigerator until now. Sometimes I have time to empty something from there - usually to "compost"...
The fungi seems to be a survivor ;)
