Salut Roland,

pas d'Orbilia mais Ombrophila sp. Attendons Zotto pour la confirmation ou non de O. lilacina.

Amitiés,
Guy

Re:50227 - Orbilia rose ?
Oui oui, Guy is quite right. I first also thought Ombrophila lilacina, but the spores are much too small, and the crystals, strong gelatinization, and stalked gregarious apos tell for another species. I have no idea!

Hi Zotto !

How can I go further with this unkown ?
Is it really an Omphophila ?

What's missing !
Do you try a key on that genus ? Can I have it ?

Thank you agan !

Roland

Hi Roland

the key is on the DVD, or in the attach here, but I fear the species is not to be found there.

The key is in German, I never translated it.

Zotto,

In your Key, I arrive directly on Ombrophila spec. 1

6* Entales Excipulum wenig gallertig, basal mit umfangreichen Kristallnestern, Sporen 6 - 7 x 3 - 3,5 µm, Apothezium subsessil, Holz/Rinde von Laubbäumen .............................................. O. spec. 1

Do you have study more this species ? Named now ?

What do you think of all that ?

Re:50227 - Orbilia rose ?
Hi Roland

this is an old single collection of which I do not have a good species concept. I named it O. ?janthina, a species which is known to be confined to coniferous substrate. My drawing is not on the DVD and a bit rough.

Important is that I see warts on the spores of your material, while mine are smooth. Also you have rather big oil drops in the spores while I have a few small. So the chance is not big that the two are the same species.

I also think that your medullary (ental) excipulum is highly gelatinized, similar as in O. janthina.

It's OK.
After try agan of your key, there is no other choice but O. janthina.
