Black Disco...

this one I found some days ago on a dead fragment of a Fagus branch stuck in a fork of a branch of Crataegus in appr. 0,5 m height above ground. It was full of Hypoxylon fragiforme and on a broken out surface of that branch I found lots of these black apothecia (c. 1 mm dm).
I made sections and found abundant paraphyses (with refractive content) but very few asci and no free spores.
These asci are unitunicate and maybe staining at the apex slightly in IKI but I can't decide whether red or blue (looked at them under 100x immersion). Spores are hyaline and alantoide to subfusiforme.
I hope someone will recognize this one, since I searched in vaine.
Best regards
Martin

Re:Black Disco...
closest I found was Durella commutata on Zottos DVD. Would this be an option?

Re:Black Disco...
Clearly Durella commutata, which must be IKI-. The similar D. suecica is IKI+, but on conifers. Better to study dead asci for the IKI-reaction. Where did you colect this, still in Thüringen?
