Hi,

If you wish, you can test the beta-version of my Online Scaling Soft. With this soft you can add scale bar to yours macro- and microphotographs.

LINK: http://wwkk.mikologia.pl/scaling

Feel you free to add here any questions, problems or ideas.

a little help
This is a beta-versio. The final version will be a much easer and clear.

Description line 1: - here can you write the first line of Text. The text will be inserted on bottom of the image
Description line 2: - here can you write the second line of Text. The text will be inserted on bottom of the image
Text size: - you can adjust the text size. If yours text ist long, you can give smaller text size.
Text color: - I think here is all clear

Input JPG File (max 5MB): - here you must BROWSE where is your JPG file on yours Harddisk.
Output JPG quality: - how much comressed will be the output image with scale bar

Scaling:
xxx pixels:
per xxx units:
Unit of measure:
------------------------
Every macro- and micropictures must be scaled. For example my macropictures with Helios objective are scaled: 1mm in "real" = 320 pixels on image. If I'm making pictures w/o Helios - evetytime I'm making foto with scale (see attach). Now I can check in my graphic software, how many PIXELS = 1mm
My micropictures are also scalled. See attach.
Now I know, what schould I give in this box:
xxx pixels: 140
per xxx units: 10
Unit of measure: um
means, that the scale is: 140pixels on photo = 10um. For Helios pictures is this
xxx pixels: 320
per xxx units: 1
Unit of measure: mm

X1 scale: - here can you enable / disable scale drawning on picture. It is good, if you wish not habe scale bars for example on the left side, or on bottom...... feel you free to adjust, if you wish have only 1 or all 4 scale bars.

Thin black border (scale): see attach

Border width: - here can you adjust witdh of the border around the picture

Border with text width: - here can you adjust witdh of the additional lower border, on bottom of picture. There will be inserted TEXT (description)

Thin external border: - around the whole picture can be a thin border.

Do It! BUTTON - send the picture to serwer, online soft will do a scale and send the picture back. You can SAVE this picture to Harddisk but you must to change the FILENAME. Default is wrong: DO_SKALA.PHP. You must change this name, for example to PICTURE.JPG

Re:online scaling software
Scale bar for 1,3Mpx (1280x1024 pix) photos

10x: 15pix = 10µm
40x: 55pix = 10µm
100x: 140pix = 10µm

Piotr Perz 2006-11-12

Everyone of you can have diferent scales !
If I'm using 40x: 55pix = 10µm then I'm writing

xxx pixels: 110
per xxx units: 20
Unit of measure: um

cause thats looks better

Re:online scaling software
Bonjour,
Voir "http://mycolim.free.fr/DOC_SML/mycm2/presentation_Mycm202.htm"
Mais évidemment, ce logiciel n'est pas "on line" !
