Good evening!

There is one more finding, from dead wood of Tilia cordata.

Spores 21-36*2,5-3,6 um, guttulate, from 0-septate to 3-5-septate

Asci IKI blue

Other microstructures are shown on photos.

What is your opinion concerning this specimen?

With best wishes,

Irina

Yes, I think this is A. obtusipila. I only miss larger oil drops in the spores which I saw in this species.

Thank you, Zotto!

That's presumably one more new discomycete for my country

Hi all,

I think to have collected the same ascomycete the last Friday on a scale of cone of Pinus pinaster.

NB The microphoto of the hair is small-scale.

Re : Arachnopeziza obtusipila?

Looks like very similar, except spore guttules (they are larger than in my specimen)

With best regards,

Irina

Re : Arachnopeziza obtusipila?
Hi Irina,

a more detailed microphoto is attached. The septa are more visible in Melzer.

Re : Arachnopeziza obtusipila?

As is stated in Otto Baral's paper on vital taxonomy (1992), spores quickly die in Melzer reagent and therefore septae or structures which look like septae are visible.

Sincerely,

Irina
