Trochila?
Garcia Susana, 16-05-2013 08:24
Hi
Found this ascomycete on leaf I do not know if it is Hedera or Populus (picture included).
I think it is Trochila, but I have not enough information of the genre. The spores are very large and very enlarged asci (subglobose some). The data do not match the usual species.
Any contribution.
Thanks in advance.

Susana (Navarra-Spain)?

Re : Trochila?
Hi Susana

great! This is an apparently unpublished species of Eupropolella which I call E. "hederae". I have it in the folder Naevioideae, far from Trochila which I placed in Mollisiaceae because of the VBs in the living praphyses.

Clearly you have Hedera as substrate.

For a planned article on this I could use some of your photos in higher resolution, also the collection data, if you don't mind.

Re : Trochila?
Indeed, a perfect match for your description.
I've already sent the photos, I guess that you have received.
