Hi
if there is a problem, you also can send the photos to me, I had found C. tetraspora already and you can compare with my website too.

björn

Re : Coniochaeta tetraspora?
Hello Björn,
In a monograph from Mahoney & LaFavre (Mycologia Vol. 73 1981) it is stated that C. Tetraspora is only isolated from soil and not from dung.
In the following article http://www.stanford.edu/group/neurospora/pdfs/Raju2000.pdf it is stated that immature asci of Coniochaeta tetraspora originally contain eight uninucleate ascospores. Two ascospore pairs in each ascus survive and mature, and two die and degenerate.
Did you find any immature asci containing eight spores?
Joop
