Re : Podospora Pyriformis?
Hello Joop,

this should be P. pyriformis.
But the spores and pedicel I find a little bit larger, own measurements: 38-48 x 22-28 and 40-60(70) x 9-10.
I miss some informations about the caudae.
They are very long, until 120-150 µm and the subapical upper cauda often inflated into a fusiform body (20-35 x 12-20).

Without an extensive examination you can't be sure about the species!

Re : Podospora Pyriformis?
Hello Norbert,

Here is some additional information.
Unfortunately no upper cauda found with a length of more than 100 um

I did find spores which were almost circular 22.25-26.48 (31.63) um in diameter.

Unripe spores: 36.73-44.08x24.22-25.25 um, with a septated pedicel of 46.25-60.07x10.13-10.30 um.
Ripe spores: 41.07-46.58 (52,42)x23.11-26.55 (29.64) um with a non-septated pedicel of 39.41x9.51 um.

Asci: 493-578.44x73.67-79.48 um (including stalk); stalk measuring 111.6-169.80 um very small.

Spores 38.67-45.53x22.91-25.49 um; often larger spores > 46 um long occur (53.42x30.61 um).

In my opinion there are paraphyses visible on the second photo cells contain 2 oildrops measuring 18.94x6.49-7.16 um
