A black asco on wood
Maren Kamke,

Hi everybody,I found this one on wood (Fagus or Quercus). It is 0,4 mm wide, with somewhat thicker margin, sessile. Almost the hole fruitbody stains blue in IKL, Ascospores first hyaline, then bluish, getting brown with 3 septa. (16-22) 18,1 x 5,1 (5-6) µm. Asci with 8 spores, 94x15 µm. Paraphyses apical 3 µm with some lightbrown material on top.
Thank you for your help.
Regards Maren

Re : A black asco on wood
Hallo Maren
Certainly a Dactylospora, but the lignicole are hardly to identify. For those with 3-septate spores I have no name at all, though they are rather frequent.
