Can someone confirm or correct my identification?  Pictures can be seen at mushroom observer.

Re : Otidea onotica?

Hi there,

This is a yet undescribed species that we will soon describe. Apparently it is rather common in the west coast of North America. Otidea onotica has ochraceous yellow (more yellow than your collection, has slightly longer spores with a higher Qm value, among other things.

Nice photos!

Cheers,

Ibai.

Re : Otidea onotica?
Cool!  Thanks for the info, can you share more or less how soon it will be described?  I wouldn't want to miss it. :)

Re : Otidea onotica?

I can't talk about American material, but Otidea onotica in Europe usually has pink tinges on the hymenium, similar to those in the Byrain's image.
