Re : Discinella meuriesii
Dear Luis
You have to know that this name (meuresii) came from a typo error.

In Bull. Soc. Mycol. France 33: 117, Boudier referred to his english publication (Trans. Br. mycol. Soc. 4(1): 323 (1913) of Calycella Mensiesi Boud. dedicated to his friend Menzies and because the choice of genus Calycella was a "lapsus memoriae" (Boudier was 85 yr old), he transferred it in Discinella.
We shall never know if Boudier or the printer made the mistake, but the species was named Discinella Meuriesi Boud., valid new species, while the legend of the plate was called Discine]la Meuziesi Boud.
I believe that letters u and z were mistaken for n and r.
What is surprizing is that Boudier was not aware of Smith and Ramsbottom transfer in Discinella menziesi (spelling corrected here) in Trans. Br. mycol. Soc. 4(2): 323 (1914).
Anyway Discinella Meuriesi Boud. is a synonym of Discinella menziesii (actual orthograph in phase with name building of the code) (Boud.) A.L. Sm. & Ramsb.
Don't waste to much time on Discinella Meuriesi Boud.
cheers
François
