Good evening,I got an exsiccate of Smardaea found by a Slovakian mushroom photographer (originally determined as Pseudoplectania sp.). A photo of fruitbodies is here: http://www.nahuby.sk/obrazok_detail.php?obrazok_id=496541
It grew at a margin of a Picea forest. The bigger apothecium after rehydratation measures 10 mm. I hesitate between Smardaea purpurea and S. protea. The differences in ornamentation are not absolutely clear for me, can I rely on size of spores?
The free spores measure 23-25 x 11-12 micrometers, inside the asci are spores up to 28,5 micrometers long. They are pale violet and have got 2 guttules (7 micrometers across). It would fit to Smardaea protea. Concerning ornament, I think there are not the connections between the warts, but I´m not sure if I see it right.

Thank you, René, I didn´t forget your work. I looked at it and also the article about Smardaea purpurea by Gilbert Moyne et al. But I am not sure (and if I translated it well to myself, Gilbert and his friends hesitated between S. purpurea and S. protea too :-)). Some time ago I though immature spores are always smaller then mature spores (I mean in this case - if I see spores inside asci up to 28,5 micrometers, it must be S. protea, because the spores can only grow, not become smaller). But according to what Uwe wrote me to Tricharina, it seems this is not true.
