I Found this ascomycete on a branch of hardwood.
I doubt between Karstenia idaei and K.guttulata. I dont't have clear the differences.

This is actually difficult, and I am not very sure about whether there exists one or two species. I thought that K. idaei is without apical ring, but maybe this is an error.

The marginal elements are called periphysoids.
