Can you please tell me from which area this Phytolacca and Arundo come from?

Jean-Paul had a collection of this fungus on Phytolacca (JPP 11211) from Gironde, Le Veron s/mer in 2011.
There the asci reacted red (RR), so I wonder why you see blue. Did you pretreat with KOH?

Hola Zotto...

Lo primero, tanto el Arundo como la Phytolacca, provienen del mismo lugar (quiza una diferencia de 50 o 100 m. )  es una zona donde tiran restos de poda y de limpieza de jardines.     Se trata de el pueblo de O Grove en la provincia de Pontevedra en España.

Los diferentes tonos que  me quedan las fotos del micro  (azul o amarillo) se debe a la utilización del Photoshop .... si uso la opción Ajustes de Imagen = Niveles automaticos me da azul ...  si uso la opción Ajustes de Imagen = Sombra e iluminación me da tonos amarillos.

Te voy a poner una foto al natural de como sale del micro y con los ajustes... y me gustaria que me dieras tu opinión de que te parece mejor usar.

o.k., I am not sure why you ask me this, but I would prefer the left (natural) and would only slightly play manually with the colours and contrast.

But the version of the stained apical rings inside the circles isn't bad, I agree also with this colour adjustment.

My question was: Why does your fungus stain blue while JPP's fungus stained red?

Esto no lo se ...  quiza JPP uso otro producto del que he usado yo ... IKI y/o  Melzer 

Para esa reacción a rojo  que producto habria que usar ?

You must use Lugol without KOH, then you get the red reaction, or you have another species.

No tengo Lugol nuevo,  pero si tenia IKI sin abrir de 6/2015 y he hecho una prueba con el ultimo ejemplar que me quedaba


He visto reacción a rojo en partes de la prueba... pero no en el apice de las ascas... que si ha tenido una muy ligera reacción al azul



He pedido al recolector que me coja mas material,   tambien Raul Tena esta interesado en estudiarlo...   a ver si hay suerte.
