Hymenoscyhuslike on ferns
Marja Pennanen, 15-09-2016 14:45
Hello,

I have found some scanty yellow Hymenoscyhus on Pteridium ealier, but had no time to study them propely.
Now I found something, that was not so scanty (on Dryopteris or something like that). These turn yellow from whitis and are about 0,3 mm wide.
The spores are about 9-12x2,5-3 and have some droplets.
The asci are about 70-90x6-8 and seems IKI-.
I saw no paraphyses, but that seems to be possible, when the weathers and substrate are moist. It certainly has been a rainy summer and autumn here ;)

A Hymenoscyhus species? Or do I seek for a determination in another genus?

Allophylaria filicum. The excipulum must be gelatinized. Not a rare species.

Once again: thank you Zotto.

Evenif common, the species is new for me and propably not very often collected here in Finland. Every new for me  species, that is determined, is a joy :D
