Lophiostoma semiliberum
Riet van Oosten, 05-08-2018 12:27
Riet van Oosten
Hello,

Found 29-07-2018, on dead stem of Phragmites (see new topic for the other stem)

Ascospores: 32.9-32.9-34.3-35.8-40.8 x 5.7-5.7-6.3-6.4-6.9 µm.

- Chesters, C.G.C. & A. Bell (1970) Studies in the Lophiostomataceae, p. 11: 30-43 x 5.5-8 µm

- Microfungi on Land Plants, p. 436: 30-40 x 6-8 µm

-Van Ryckegem, G. (2005) Fungi on common reed (Phragmites australis). Fungal diversity, community structure and decompositions processes, p. 341: 28-39 x 6-8 µm

Is Lophiostoma semiliberum correct?

Also some brown ascospores, contamination?

Best wishes, Riet

Re : Lophiostoma semiliberum
Hello Riet,
To my opinion it fits well Lophiostoma semiliberum. To compare I used Holm & Holm (Holm² for Alain), 1988 "Studies in the Lophiostomataceae with emphasis on the swedish species".
Brown ascospores may be overmature...

Best wishes
Pascal
