Hello,

I'dd like some help from you if possible.

On a mountain of sand whose origin is not known (perhaps from ditches) these ascomycetes were present. Under the binocular we saw that there were black dots on the ascot. Spores? Asci measure 163-205 m?, paraphyses are septed and some are irregular in shape, size 200 x 4 m?. Size of the apores 20-23 x 11-12 Very warty on the outside and a thick wall Yet it seemed that there was a network on the spores. I also saw purple spores in asci. Are not they ripe yet? Asci J- Can this belong to the Ascoboluses? I did some Melzer in it and a little later there came a purple colour Anyone have an idea?

Hello Hannie

Is it possible to see a larger image of the spore ornamentation? Very warty spores of those measurements, plus the habitat, make me think of Ascobolus behnitziensis, but I'm sure there are other people who know the genus better than I.

best wishes

Chris

Good evening.

Indeed it would be desirable if possible to have clearer pictures and higher magnification; nevertheless agree with Chris your fungus could be Ascobolus behnitziensi or can be also geophilus.

Michel.
