Per Marstad, 30-12-2018 18:47
Per MarstadThis was growing on fagus, in Norway. 1 - 2 mm wide.
Spores 50-60 x 15-17 my, with segments.
With such special spores I hope to get a name.Per.

Re : Special spores.
Dear Per,

no spores but conidia. There should be also brown conidiophores around. Compare with Pseudospiropes (simplex?). Is the size 50-60 µm true?

Best regards.

Martin

Re : Special spores.
Dear Martin.Thank you for the information. It seems that the spores are longer than in the description. Strossmayeria basitricha has been found only two times in Norway.

Re : Special spores.
It seems these conidia have much less septa compared to S. basitricha and a little more thick walls when dead. But otherwise it looks much like Strossmayeria.

S. basitricha is frequent, at least in Central Europe.
