Ascomycete or Dacrymycetales?
Stephen Martin Mifsud, 10-02-2019 19:50
Stephen Martin MifsudI found this terrestrial fungus looking like a pale Calocera. There was only one specimen around so I did not collect or sampled for conservation purposes, and thought maybe a photo and habitat are enough here. At first, I assumed it is some Dacrymycetales or Clavaria but since it is growing directly from the soil, maybe it is some Ascomycete. Help is welcomed!

likely Clavaria or Clavulinopsis spec.

If you ask me, this belongs to family Clavariaceae (Agaricales). More I cannot say without microscope.

Best regards, Lothar

OK, as suspected then, not an Asco. :-( Thanks Lothar.
