Hello
I am still looking for a name for this mushroom:
https://www.bio-forum.pl/messages/33/914669.html
Does anyone have?
A new species of Thecotheus from Croatia with a key to the known species with apicuate spores.
Do I rightly suspect that it could be Thecotheus?
Thank you in advance!
Mirek

Re : Asco ... ?
Hi Mirek

It is possible that your fungus is Pseudombrophila guldeniae, a fungus that is frequently associated with Byssonectria terrestris (ascomata on the left in the photo).

Re : Asco ... ?
Oh yes!
The appearance is a little unusual but the microscopic features are 100% compatible :)

I miss the view of only marginal hair. I didn't take their photos. On one picture, however, I saw them even though they are lacking in contrast.
Thank you very much!
best regards
Mirek

Dear Mirek,

if you give me your postal address, I'll send you a copy of Mycologia Bavarica (1996) with a detailed article on Pseudombrophila guldeniae.

Kind regards

Till

Re : Asco ... ?
As you can see, the asci are usually tetrasporic.

Re : Asco ... ?
Two years ago I started to microscope Ascomycota.
I did not know what to pay attention.
This feature is clearly visible :)
Thank you
Mirek
