... under Corylus,, Salix caprea and Picea on acid soil, National Park of Eifel, Germany, about 550 m NN, 14.11.2019.
Macroscopically, it reminds a lot of H. elastica, with the color and the smooth stipes - but most apothecia are much more regular than typical for this species.
On the other hand, it reminds me of collections I once determined as branzeziana - but as I remember these forms were not smooth and more greyings-colored. With Skrede & al. 2017 I do not come to a clear result, and branzeziana is not included.
The spores (there were only quite few ripe asci) are about 18-21/12-14 µm.
Who can provide me with a proposal?
Best, Lothar
following pre-molecular paths, I'd say your collection represents H. elastica. As far as branzeziana is concerned, it is a minute species with a blackish, convex cap whose lower side is slightly veined. The original description by Svrcek & Moravec 1968 is quite instructive.
Sei gegrüßt!
Till
Cher Gilbert,
merci beaucoup aussi!
