Re : Lasiosphaerioid on Dicranum from Denmark with dark brown, fusiform spores
I do not think this is lasiosphaerioid. I suspect something in the Dothideomycetes since the asci appear thick-walled (and possibly bitunicate). A good thing to sequence!

to me unitunicate and lasiosphaerioid refers to the macro-appearance plus the setae :-). I do not have all the lit on bryophilous stuff but it is higly distinctive

Hi friends,
Maybe you should compare to Leptomeliola muscorum ?
Best wishes,
Alain

not much joy in the litterature I have available. The type species has hyaline spores. Do you have a description of muscorum?

Re : Lasiosphaerioid on Dicranum from Denmark with dark brown, fusiform spores
Hi again. yes, reads like a very similar object and no clear indication of being truly bitunicate. What are the comments you refer to? And do you also have the illustration? Do you think it is congeneric with the type species?
Thanks/cheers
