Lichen (?) vert sur résine
Andgelo Mombert,

Bonsoir,
Spores : 5-6 x 1,8-2,3 µm, elliptiques, hyalines, lisses. Asques : claviformes, octosporés.
Je pense à un lichen ?
Merci d'avance pour votre aide.
Andgelo

Sorry! no good translation for "schmilblick"

Ah, Zotto probably missed this one. This is his Amphosoma atroolivaceum. First time I saw it I also missed that its an Orbiliaceae. Cool find.

Re : Lichen (?) vert sur résine
Hi Andgelo!
Indeed it is, although the spores are a bit small, spore size in this species is generally 7-9 x 2.5-3 µm. Since the SBs are there, the spores should be mature. Is your scale correct?
There exist two cryptic species within atroolivaceum which we did not distinguish because they do not differ in morphology. It could be that one is colline and the other montane. At which altitude did you find it?
I did not look in this posting because of the headder. :-)

Re : Lichen (?) vert sur résine
Merci !
Je vais revérifier les mesures. Récolte effectuée à 900 m d'altitude.
Donc c'est bien un Orbiliomycète ?

Re : Lichen (?) vert sur résine
Yes of course! Two small spore bodies, one at each end.
If you have a scale to the second photo with the free spore I would like to remeasure.
Although we will hardly take up this sample, I would be glad to npote the collection data.

Thanks and gratulation that you have found this inconspicuous discomycete. If you want to know exactly what it is you need a sequence. The taxonomy of this group is not fully explored, an instance that applies to many species :-(

Merci Zotto ! ;-)

Re : Lichen (?) vert sur résine
I understand. Overlooked your remeasuring, so this fits well, and the first data are of immature spores or erroneous?

Re : Lichen (?) vert sur résine
Hallo Elisabeth
Also dein Fund würde wohl eher typische A. atroolivaceum sein.
