we collected this on a decorticated branch of Malus. Your help is appreciated. The spores measure approx. 9–11 x 2.3–2.8 µm and are one-septate when older, the asci have croziers and are IKI–.
Best wishes,
Gernot

Hi Gernot,
is the whitish crust a lichen?

Hi Gernot
I think it is my "Durella" uncinata, given that the paraphyses are only partly uncinate in that species. Did you find any curved ones?

Re : Cordieritidaceae
Hi, Martin & Zotto,
I did not see a lichen, I think it is just discoloured wood.
"Durella" uncinata seems to fit very well, thank you! The paraphyses were difficult to observe because the material wasn't in the best condition and they tend to be densely packed and covered by the exsudate. I will have to check them again.
Best wishes,
Gernot

Re : Cordieritidaceae
In KOH, perhaps +CR) you should see them easily, the exudate dissolves completely.
