Can anyone offer advice on this Saccobolus.
White apothecia .15mm across.
Spores in packages 47µ Individual spores 15.5 x 8µ with small to medium warts but the surface usually breaking apart. S verrucisporus is the nearest I can suggest.
Thanks
Mal

Re : Saccobolus
Hi Mal
I would suggest S. eleutherosporus - the spore bundles seem to be coming apart somewhat - but the macro shots look very different. See: http://www.ascofrance.com/search_forum/61030 thread. Also http://www.ascofrance.com/search_forum/17214 (perhaps you already have).
Stay safe.
Chris

Re : Saccobolus
Hi Chris thanks for the suggestion, bit manic at the moment and I was hoping more fruit bodies would appear but so far only the one. I forgot about the "new" group of Saccabolus by Van Brummelen.
S eleutherosporus looks the closest fit. The ornamentation and spliting of the spores look good even if the spores are slightly out on size.
If any further appear I will try and compare.
