Bonsoir,

Sur une grosse tige morte de Rosa sp.

Ascospores : 17-22 x 6,7-8,7 µm, elliptiques, triseptées, étranglées au niveau des cloisons, à pôles obtus ou aigus, brunes, lisses.

Asques : cylindriques, contenant huit spores unisériées.

Avec l'ostiole rougeâtre, je pense qu'il s'agit de Teichospora rubriostiolata. Les spores me semblent conformes, par contre je crois que l'hôte Rosa est inédit...

This could be very well Teichospora rubriostiolata. I found the species on Prunus spinosa (Rosaceae). However, this type of spores (brownish, 3-septate, no constrictions, rounded ends) occurs in quite a few genera. You may want to consider also Bertiella rhodospila.

Hi Andgelo,

The correct name for the species you mentioned is Magnibotryascoma rubriostiolata (Jaklitsch & Voglmayr) Phukhams. et al. But it should be excluded because it has, in contrary to your collection, spores which are strongly constricted at the primary septum and poorly or not constricted at the other septa.Your spores are more Melanomma-like.

You first have to check if your species has paraphyses and pseudoparahyses (= Teichosporaceae) or only pseudoparaphyses. In the latter case I would look somewhere in the Melanommataceae. Several genera in that family have species with reddish ostiola.
