Hello,
Yesterday (22-08-2020) I took some horse dung home and moistered it.
Today I saw the Pilobolus.

Greetings, Riet

Re : Pilobolus oedipus
Yes, no doubt, Riet!
Pilobolus oedipus is a typical species on horse dung. With it's double-walled round spores this species is easy to recognise.

Re : Pilobolus oedipus
Hello Riet!
In my opinion it is indeed P.oedipus, size and shape of the spores as well as the thick walls.
Michel.

Re : Pilobolus oedipus
Thank you very much for your reaction Malcolm!
Indeed, I read a topic on the Dutch site Waarneming.nl about this species.
Very nice that I found this one myself now.

Your 4th photo looks like the face of a clown. Nice find though.
