Trouvé à 2'500 m (prairie alpin), taille 8 - 12 mm, face externe rugueuse, dressée, brun foncé. Asques 125 - 160 x 15 - 20 µm , J+, Spores 30 - 42.5 x 5 - 6 µm, d'abord hyalines, seulement tardivement brunes, jusqu'à 3 fois septées, 8 spores, paraphyses au sommet recourbées, brunes. Is this a described species? My first idea was Geoglossum heuflerianum, but that has longer and much wider spores which get dark brown.

We found several collections of this species a couple of weeks ago which leads us to believe that it is not rare in suitable habitats, although it is easily overlooked.
