An unusual finding, especially for me. Some anamorphic parasite on Octospora aff. gyalectoides. I need help or advice where to look?

Re : Parasite on Octospora
Hello,
there is Melanospora brevirostris on hymenium of Geopora sp, perhaps this is related?

Re : Parasite on Octospora
Hi,
Really interesting to find a parasite on a genus which, to my mind, is difficult to locate. Melanospora brevirostris(see photos) is not uncommon on Geopora on the sand dunes of west Anglesey. Melanospora ascospores look quite diifferent so it does suggest some other (probably anamorphic) genus.
Best wishes,
Charles.

Re : Parasite on Octospora
Sorry to borrow your thread, but i wounder if anyone have seen this one. I have found twice on pulvigera with hyaline conidia and black small perithecia. 4.5-5,4-1.8-2.3 um pictures
I have seen your parasite aswell or close. On octospora coccinea in Sweden, with brownish spores.
couldent fina a name for it though.
I think it is amazing to find species on so shortlived species like this.
Best regards

Re : Parasite on Octospora
Dear Dragisa,
an extraordinary find! I never encountered this and I also didn't came across something like it in the Octospora sl literature. I wonder if it is host specific.
This doesn't help you, but thank you for this very cool observation.
With best wishes
Jan

Re : Parasite on Octospora
Thanks Alain, very possibly Phoma or something close to it. We'll see what the sequence says.
Jan, this was actually found by Lukaš Janošik, and many other Octospora species of course. He was visiting me for a week.
