FRANCIS FOUCHIERBonjour , je recherche en pdf cet article: KORF R
An unusual finding, especially for me. Some anamorphic parasite on Octospora aff. gyalectoides. I need help or advice where to look?
Dragiša
there is Melanospora brevirostris on hymenium of Geopora sp, perhaps this is related?
Viktorie
Hi,
Really interesting to find a parasite on a genus which, to my mind, is difficult to locate. Melanospora brevirostris(see photos) is not uncommon on Geopora on the sand dunes of west Anglesey. Melanospora ascospores look quite diifferent so it does suggest some other (probably anamorphic) genus.
Best wishes,
Charles.
I have seen your parasite aswell or close. On octospora coccinea in Sweden, with brownish spores.
couldent fina a name for it though.
I think it is amazing to find species on so shortlived species like this.
Best regards
