this is from Larsen (1952) Studies in Danish Pyrenomycetes


 I don't have this. But there is a good chance that Munk simply repeated the description in his Danish Pyrenomycetes from 1957 (attached).

Thank you Martin. Always helping us. I had already seen Munk's description, which, as you say, is probably the same as Larsen's description. Everything points to his Didymella ilicicola being a synonym of Keissleriella cladophila which he missed the periostiolar setae.

I scanned Larsen's paper this morning. Just need a couple of hours to tidy theimages and make a pdf. I will post the pdf tomorrow.

As I said before, I think it is quite possible that Didymella ilicis is Keissleriella cladophila. I found it very difficult to see the periostiolar setulae and therefore considered it to be a true Didymella. And I think Larsen had the same problem as I did until after several sections I was able to see them.Many thanks Martin and Henrik for your kindly help.

Since Larsen made his collection in 1924 (see attached document) and the description was possibly made a considerable time later from dried material, it is quite possible that setae were overlooked.
