Help with a Pyrenomycete.
Josep Torres, 25-04-2025 09:33
Josep TorresAscomata shaped like deformed black grains, measuring between 0.3 and 0.4 mm, sprouting from a small trunk on the ground of an oak tree, sharing space with Propolis farinosa and Alleoexidiopsis calcea.
The peridium hyphae are small, globose angular in texture, and have brown pigment inside.
Octosporic asci, which produce fusiform, septate spores with two large guttulae in each cell and a clear constriction at the septum. The ascospore sizes within the ascus are (18.5) 19.7 - 22.7 (22.8) × (6.8) 6.9 - 8.3 (8.4) µm.
The paraphyses are very abundant and strongly branched.
I understand the great difficulty of naming species like this, but perhaps, considering these paraphyses, someone might be able to determine their identity.
Thank you in advance for any feedback.
Best regards.
