Hi, Does somebody know the genus that has those big guttulate spores?
Found in the underside of a hardwood log near a river, Quebec, Canada.
Spores 44,2-46,2 x 16,2-17,4um.

Hi David,
I've looked pictures at inaturalist website.
It is very reminiscent of the genus Halosphaeria, or even more so of the species Magnisphaera stemossago. However, to be certain, it is necessary to test the usual chemical reagents used to reveal the presumed appendages.
I attach a paper you know very probably. The solution may lie within.

J'arrive aussi à cette espèce, mais comme je n'ai pu observer d'appendices, je ne pouvais conclure que c'était bien cela. Je n'ai plus de matériel malheureusement, je vais tenter d'en retrouver.

Bonne chance pour cette nouvelle recherche. Des 18S et 28S de M. stevemossago (désolé pour la misprint dans mon précédent message) sont connus, ça vaudrait le couop de faire séquencer ta récolte même si les appendices ne sont pas visibles. L'information serait intéressante.
