aff. Tricharina?
Lothar Krieglsteiner, 08-12-2025 18:59
Lothar Krieglsteiner.. found by a seminar-participant, I do not know the exact findplace, only the forest. It is a mixed Picea-Abies-Fagus-Pinus-forest, and likely the findplace was at the side of a forest road, Schwäbischer Wald, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, 20.06.2025.
The spores are about 17-19(21)/9-10,5(12) µm large, the asci bear croziers at their base.
Who can help further?
Best regards, Lothar

Hi Lothar,

to me it looks like Cupulina (=Tricharina) ascophanoides!

All best

Hello Dirk,
this looks very good, thank you. I never met with this species by now.

Re : aff. Tricharina?
Hi Lothar,

I also had only two collections in Thuringia up to now (not Rhön :-)
Hyaline hairs and little oil-clusters at the poles seem quite specific ...

All best
