reddish apothecia
Pol Debaenst, 15-12-2025 21:47
Good evening,

On 12/11/2025 I found ascomycetes with reddish apothecia on bare ground and on decaying, small plant debris of Cupressocyparis leylandii.
Another collection was found on 10/12/2025 on the same substrate, but now I was surprised that three specimen were stipitate. There was no microscopical difference between stipitate and non-stipitate specimen.

Garden, Burgweg 19, Veurne, Belgium
Apothecia bright orange to red, discoid (some stipitate) and up to 3 mm Ø
Asci (sub)cylindrical, operculate, J-, 248,5-262,5 x 10,5-11 µm
Sporen hyaline, ellipsoid, smooth, bi-guttulate, 14,5-16,4 x 8,5-10,5 µm, Me = 15,30 x 9,42 µm, N = 20, Q = 1,62
Parafyses hyaline, cylindrical, 2-2,5 µm Ø, slightly swollen at apex up to 3,5 µm Ø and with orange contents

Any help for determination will be appreciated.
