Hello Asco friends,

on 16.01.2025 we found in Kreuztal, (Germany,NRW) on a hardwood branch (picture,1cm ø) a diatype.
Disc roundish from the bark protruding with bright golden-yellow entostoma.
Perithecian 6-8, 250-400 ?m, round to oval
Ostioles standing individually, usually wide warty or flat wulstig.
Spores allantoid, 7-7,5 x 2-2,5 ?m, yellowish with a drop each at the poles
Asci are long stalked, p.-30 and (not always recognizable) I+

Because of the Find details (South America and South Africa) she resisted his destiny. Only the species description (Rappaz S 426-427), which is consistent in all characteristics, led to the proposal of a definition.

In the net I found only one other description of Li from 2023, which describes the species well for China, but Ascus indicates with I- .

Because of the alleged lack of evidence for Europe so far, and also because of the cool climate at the location I consider my "determination" doubtful and ask the experts for an assessment or indications of possible other species in question.
For this I thank you in advance.

Karl
