The dark apothecia open in wet conditions
Asci 40-44 x 5-6 µm, with crozier, 4-spored, apical ring IKI+ (bb)
Paraphyses without VB, Ø 1-2.5 µm
Spores fusoid, with small LBs, 11-16 x 2-2.5 (2.7) µm
Cells at the margin with short "hairs" (max length 25 µm), enlarged at their base.
Do you have any idea?

Re:Pyrenopeziza-like species with 4-spored asci
Strange! Although I beleive you, I would be happy to see photos of an ascus with 4 spores. Sometimes such a feature is variable. Did you see it in every ascus? Are there any remains of small aborted spores visible?
Also a photo of a section through the apparently thick margin would be valuable.

Re:Pyrenopeziza-like species with 4-spored asci
I verify on two different apothecia, and all the mature asci I saw were containing 4 spores. I didn't observe aborted spores. I'm going to rehydrate the collection to make a photograph of an ascus.
I join a photograph of the section of the marginal excipulum (textura subglobulosa).
