Hi,can somebody tell me if my determination is right with Apioporthe vepris? It has spores around 10-12x3-4µm with a non-central septation which reminds me on Dothiorales-species and perithecia 0,1 mm in diameter which are similar to those of Diaporthales or something "unitunicaty" ^^

No problem, it's Apioporthe vepris even if ascospores are usually given in 6-10 x 2-2.5 µm.
Stroma not strongly developped, peirthecias forming longitudinal elongate pustules, form of ascospores are good characters. Rubus is its substrate.
You should see hyaline appendages at each end of spores..

your photos (I have downloaded all photos of ascofrance and integrated them into my personal database of Ascomyota, sorted by taxonomy) were a good help with the determination, but the first work did Ellis&Ellis (1997). Thanks again ;)

Hi Kazama
you could add KOH (or Melzer, or Lactophenol etc.) to your fungus and then measure the spores. It is always interesting to look how severely such fragile spores shrink when killed.

We have one isolate from Austria but would welcome one from France. Would you be willing to send us a portion of this fresh or air-dried specimen to include in this study? Germany would be wonderful although the type was from France. Our one specimen is from Austria collected by Walter Jaklitsch.
