Calosphaeria? Eutypella?
Björn Wergen, 01-12-2011 12:55
Björn WergenHello,

a few days ago I found this special eutypoid fungus growing on ?Fagus or Corylus twigs (I think it is Corylus...). It has obviously protuding necks and spores around 3,5-5x1µm.

After looking in some keys, I think it can be a specimen around Calosphaeria parasitica, but I am not sure with it, because the spores are a bit too big and there were no perithecia of other pyrenos (Eutypella quaternata etc.).

Perhaps you can help me with determination of it. There are always some problems coming up with Diatrypaceae-species.

regards,
kazuya
