Some time ago I  watched more often unidentified fungus that overgrows ascostromas on several species Xylariales, possibly as hyperparasite. I have not observed spores, but their hyphae are dark brown and have spiny projections. The fungus forms a dense mattress hyphae black or dark blue over and around  ascostromas, this is fluffy and can be several millimeters thick. I wonder if anyone knows what kind it is.

Amigo; Es una especie de Nitschkiaceae. Checa si las células del peridio ascomatal (si presente en tu colección) tienen poros; se llaman Poros de Munk y son característicos de la familia.

En nuevos especimenes observe los ascos y ascosporos de Scortechinia (?) y en el himeno algo que parecen poros, pero no se si son los "Poros de Munk". ¿Que opina?. Saludos

Estimado Eduardo: Los Poros de Munk se presentan en las células que conforman las paredes o peridio de los ascomas (en cuyo interior se encuentra el Quellkörper, las ascas y las ascosporas). En todo caso, por la forma y color de las ascosporas y las hifas del subículo, al parecer se trata de una especie de Scortechinia.
