Hello,I have identified this fungus as Hymenoscyph
Ascobolus hawaiiensis

No direct colouring blue for the asci in Melzer, there is some blue blue colouring in the body (photo-3). Asci colour yellow.
No picture has been taken of the asci for measurement.
I could not find any match in Fungi Fimicoli Italici

Re : Ascobolus or iodophanus?
Surely an Ascobolus. Spores in Iodophanus are never brown. ?

Re : Ascobolus or iodophanus?
Hello Joop.
t is not I think of Iodophanus as said Richard can be a Saccobolus. It would take a photo of several asci to see the precise positioning of spores so as to confirm the gender.?

Re : Ascobolus or iodophanus?
Sorry Michel I only had one fruitbody next time I find one I will provide you with more information.
But with this information I cannot find a match for spore size in Ascobolus or Saccobolus.
Thanks for the reply.
Joop

Bonjour Joop,
a-tu déjà pensé à Ascobolus hawaiiensis ? Voir literature Van Brummelen ( Persoonia- supplement Vol I page 87-88) et Doveri (Fungi fimicoli Italici)page 402-404.

Re : Ascobolus or iodophanus?
Hello Jacky,
I Have been reading both documentations and A. Hawaiiensis spores (when not fully mature) do match described range.
With the second finding I measured the size of asci and spores again.
Spores are at first hyaline and wrats are later developing, in this stage measuring 18.87-21.25x8.93-10.62 um. No gelatinous sheath observed.
Asco measuring 175.5x32.02 um
When mature spores measure 22-27.27x10.64-12.21 um colouring light brown and fully covered with rounded wrats measuring 0.84x0.84 um.
Wrats can only be measured at both ends of the spores
