Asco on wood
Maren Kamke, 17-02-2013 18:26
Maren KamkeHello,

I've difficulties with this fungus which grows on decidious wood, fagus or quercus, I'm not sure.

The diameter is 0,5 mm, the color ist pale yellow, beneath the same. Spores 7 – 9 x 2 – 3 µm hyalin, with a few guttules (0-1). Asci with croziers and a blue iodine porus reaktion, 39 x 6 µm, paraphyses cylindrical, wth low refractive content, 2 µm wide.

Thank you for your help.

Maren

Re : Asco on wood
Hi Maren

well-described, anyhow I have no idea.  Could you please look at the margin, perhaps there are some short hairs?

Hi Zotto,
you are right, there are indeed hairs at the margin. Very difficult to find. Length up to 32 x 3 µm, they are lageniform with a round apex. Maybe it is Hyaloscypha daedaleae (after Nordic Macromycetes)?.
Thanks
Maren
