Here is a collection of Orbilia crenatomarginata to be confirmed.Collected on rotten trunk of Populus, on soil.
Ectal excipulum of t. globulosa with cells 6-21 µm Ø. Asci with an elongated base, 20-28 x 2.8-3 µm. Paraphyses about 1.5 µm Ø, with glassy process at the top (0.5~1 µm thick). Spores curved, often like an elongated S, no spore body seen, 6-8 x 0.3-0.5 µm. Dark subiculum present.

Re : Orbilia: confirmation
Hi Nicholas
there are some strange things with this fungus. Could you provide a closup of an apothecium for the margin? No teeth? Also a microphoto of the margin, best as a section. Any glassy processes there?
As the specimen is fresh the spores hould contain a spore body. The lower spores whould be inversely oriented.
The glassy substance above the paraphyses stain turquoise in CRB or red-brown in IKI, and represent exudate, not glassy wall material.
Was it on wood or bark? Could you supply me the location and date?

Re : Orbilia: confirmation
I just evaluated the size from your drawing of 3 spores: I arrive at 6.2-7 x 0.6 µm
