Podospora intestinacea
Garcia Susana, 13-10-2013 23:37
Hi all
I found this on dung horse too.
I think this may be Podospora intestinacea.
You can confirm or reject the species.

Thanks in advance

Re : Podospora intestinacea
Hello Suzana

This fungus is probably P.intestinacea, but for confirmation should better see the gelatinous appendages of spores. To help, you can try coloring preparations.

Regards.

Michel.

Re : Podospora intestinacea
Hi
I have done India ink preparation.
Perithecia were already very old, empty. There remained some ascus.
Seems immature spores have a gelatinous appendages which then lost.
This confirms the species?
Thanks

Hi

Indeed,
the appendages that resemble P.intestinacea be better distinguished.
