Hi Vasileos,

The round spores and their size along with the macro habitus on this substrate should leave no doubt on your determination

Re : Pithya cupressina ?
Hello Michel. I wanted to see if there is another similar species of like Pithya vulgaris and Pulvinulla archeri to come out on the same substrate, not noticed microscopy more the species.

Re : Pithya cupressina ?
P. vulgaris has got larger spores and lives on Abies, I think.
As for Pulvinula archeri, I can see in litterature that spore size is the same  . I never saw it but I guess paraphyses are different and that it lives on ground

Re : Pithya cupressina ?
I suppose you already had a look at the 2 other mentions of P. archeri on this forum ?

Hope someone can provide us with pictures of Pulvinula archeri, by the way

Re : Pithya cupressina ?
Hello in the round,
in my opinion too is this P. cupressina, which I found at 29.12. in mass on Juniperus spec. In this article is the difference between P. cupressina and vulgaris distinct, unfortunately in german: BENKERT, D, (2008): Pithya cupressina und P. vulgaris (Pezizales)- identisch oder nicht ? Mycologia Bavarica Band 10: 55-62.
On Your image probable to see Lophodermium juniperinum, the commonst fungus on needles of Juniperus.
Greetings Peter.
